Auckland, suburb by suburb: where would a first date go?
Auckland is a city of harbours, beaches and volcanic cones, spread wide enough that your suburb shapes your dating life. A quick tour, with first-date ideas built in:

Ferries are underrated: Devonport and Waiheke Island are both a scenic ride from downtown.
Beyond the city, Hamilton is roughly an hour and a half south, Whangārei a little over two hours north and Tauranga closer to three hours by road. A first date that far takes planning, which is one more reason to chat for a while first.
